Bastian Koch

I am a Ph.D. student in Finance at the University of Mannheim.

Research interests: Corporate Finance, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Labor & Finance

In my research, I study how firm-level policies and market structures shape innovation and human capital allocation. In particular, I investigate how failure tolerance affects inventor productivity and how pre-IPO liquidity events influence employee retention and talent allocation in high-growth startups.
